Gave this 3 stars because it has so much potential. Currently not usable and do not get the paid version or you will be unhappy! ****Save your money and read this review**** 1) some data from nmea1083 stream comes in fine but depth does not and wind data is intermittent. Same data stream to other apps was solid. 2) iPad is stuck in setting screen where you configure server. Server is configured and you can see data stream, but you cannot get to done button or error report button. Have reset iPad, rebooted, and deleted and reinstalled app. No change so it is stuck. iPhone does not have this issue. 3) please allow changing of data field by long press to bring up menu to scroll through available data fields- as opposed to endless taping to cycle through fields. 4) allow a temp license for paid application. 5) allow user to customize how many data fields are shown. Would be great to use iPad as a mast display and have 4-5 fields shown so that you can read field heading and units from a distance. Fix these, make it stable and I would gladly pay $40+ for this application. Let me know if the android version is better and I would go that route!

Couldn’t find the “set” button mentioned in the instructions. Therefore couldn’t evaluate the NMEA functionality. In any case the idea to tap on displays in a round robin fashion (i.e. having to to tap an unknown number of times to get back) is super frustrating and is a no-go. We are in 2nd decade of the 21st century. Why mimic something from the 90s?
